NAGPUR: A group of architecture students from Nagpur could well play a major role in putting Varanasi on UNESCO's world heritage city map. Seventeen students from Priyadarshini Institute of Architecture and Design Studies (PIADS) collaborated with 15 postgraduate students of architecture and heritage programme in oriental cities from Paris Belleville School of Architecture for a 12-day tour of the city of ghats recently. The Indo-French team discovered and documented several heritage structures in Varanasi during their 12-day stay, working under an NGO -- Kautilya Society -- which has been striving to get Varanasi UNESCO's world heritage city status. see article http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Cities/Varanasi_could_be_on_UNESCO_li...
