Our wait for seeing Tata's 1 Lakh car has ended and we can see it now. It is called Nano. Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata on Thursday 10th January 2008 unveiled the Tata Nano at the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi. They claim mileage to be 23 lits/Km. It has got a Fuel Tank of 30 Litres. It can accommodate 4 persons comfortably. The Company will soon launch the AC versions. The car is fully compatible for Indian roads and it will lead to hassle free driving. It is smaller than Maruti 800 but much more spacious than 800. He said that the dealer price of the car will be Rs 1 lakh, plus value-added tax (VAT) plus transport charges.
