LUCKNOW: With no demands coming from the BSP for special trains for the upcoming rally of the party, other passengers might face a tough time on October 9. "We have not been told about the number of people expected to arrive at the station on the day to participate in the rally. Neither have we been asked about the requirement of coaches to accommodate the crowd," said an official. Last time, 17 special trains were run by the Northern Railway (NR) to accommodate the BSP supporters. But, this time they will board routine trains to reach Lucknow. The authorities of NR have brought this to the notice of the chief secretary. "Whatever preparations are done by us will be complete by tomorrow," the official added. Chahete Ram, DRM, NR will brief the media about the preparations on Friday. On the other hand, North Eastern Railway (NER) is running a special train from Barhajbazaar to Lucknow junction. The train will move through Salempur, Bhatni, Deoria, Gorakhpur and Gonda to reach Lucknow junction (LJN) station. The sixteen-coach train will depart from Barhajbazaar at 2:30 pm on October 8 and reach LJN at 4 am on October 9. The train will depart from LJN on October 9 at 7:30 pm and reach Barhajbazaar on October 10 at 4 am. "The party has asked and paid for a single train," NER spokesman Alok Srivastava said. Meanwhile, in another development, NR will run train No 2457A/2458A Varanasi-Delhi-Varanasi superfast special from October 11 to November 4. The train No 2457A will move from Varanasi at 8 pm and reach Delhi at 8:55 am. It will have a ten-minute stoppage at Lucknow (00:55/01.05). On the other hand, train No 2458A will move from Delhi at 6:15 pm and reach Varanasi at 7:30 am. It will also have a ten-minute stoppage at Lucknow (03.00/03.10).
