New Delhi, Mar 9 (PTI) Three months after being opened to public, regular trains will start operating from Anand Vihar Railway terminal tomorrow onwards.

In the first phase, three trains will start operations from the terminal. They are Anand Vihar-Bapu Dham Motihari express, Anand vihar Varanasi Garib Rath express and Anand Vihar- Jogbani express, official sources said today.

Since its inauguration on December 19 last year, the station has been handling mostly special trains bound for Eastern states.

The terminal, which has been constructed to decongest the New Delhi station and cater to passengers residing in East Delhi, is expected to handle over three lakh in full capacity and over 250-odd trains, they said.

Built at a cost of Rs 85 crore, the swanky terminal building has may firsts to its credit.
