Mumbai, April 12: The world's most beautiful lady is all set to exchange wedding vows and if reports are to be believed, the hazel-eyed Aishwarya Rai has chosen her favourite designer Neeta Lulla to dress her up for the bid day. Neeta Lulla is now busy designing Aishwarya's wedding outfit for the actor's D-day on April 20. Lulla will be designing around 15 outfits for the former Miss World to be worn for the various pre and post wedding functions. Mother-in-law Jaay Bachchan, very much aware that her son is bringing home one of the most beautiful women in world, has been very careful in selecting the outfits to match her bahu’s persona. Reports suggest that Jaya Bachchan has picked up saris for her bahu from a Benaras shop. The saris picked up for Aishwarya cost lakhs of rupees. While some of the clothes have already been designed by Kolkata-based menswear designer Sharbari Dutta, rumor had it that Aishwarya’s wedding lehenga was coming from Benaras and was priced at around Rs. 3 lakh. But others say that Neeta is designing Aishwarya's wedding ensemble. "It feels great that I am once again designing for Aishwarya," says Neeta confirming the news. Having been roped in to dress the actor for the most important day of her life, Neeta has every reason to rejoice. Special silk has been ordered from Varanasi for dressing both Abhi-Ash and the legend Amitabh Bachchan. Speculations are rife that the Junior Bachchan will wear a unique golden Sherwani for the auspicious event. The costly Chaodani fabric has been woven by a 400-year-old family in Varanasi, who are famous for signature Banarasi sarees. Royal families in India used to wear attire made of Chaodani fabric. According to sources, Delhi-based designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla have been roped in to dress up the Bachchan clan. Even Shweta Nanda (Bachchan) walked down the ramp for them. In fact, her wedding outfit was designed by the designer duo as well. Aishwarya's costumes in the films Umrao Jaan, Devdas, Taal, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam were designed by Neeta as were her dresses at prestigious events such as the Cannes Festival. The Bachchan family, on the other hand, has been loyal to Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Neeta Lulla will design a gold zari embroidered saree for Ash to wear on her wedding day. For her mehendi on the 18th, Ash will wear a red zari embroidered ghagra-choli also designed by Neeta Lulla. Abu-Sandeep will design Ash's outfit for the Sangeet ceremony at Prateeksha on the 19th. http://www.saharasamay.com/samayhtml/articles.aspx?newsid=73235
