Mumbai: With just a couple of days to go for the grand Ash-Abhi wedding, let's take a recap of wedding preparations going on at the two Bachchan residences and at Aishwarya's end too. Aishwarya’s house in Bandra and the Bachchans' nests, Jalsa and Prateeksha, are full of festivities. To attend Wednesday’s high profile sangeet ceremony, relatives and friends from different parts of the country have started pouring in. Excitement picked up when everyone heard of Abhishek’s childhood friend Hrithik Roshan’s surprise performance at the sangeet but it's no more a surprise as many other friends will also perform at the do. Meanwhile, director Karan Johar has a rapid fire round ready, needless to say all questions will be strictly about the couple. But all eyes will be on the finale in which Aishwarya and Abhishek will dance to their hit number Kajra Re. On Tuesday, Aishwarya's made-to-order sarees will arrive from Banaras and go straight to the Bachchans' residence so that mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan can officially gift them to her bride. Now, some news from La Mer, which is Aishwarya’s home in Bandra, where the actress is rehearsing day and night for her performance. Meanwhile, Aishwarya’s mom Vrinda Rai is busy packing her daughter's wedding trousseau, which includes clothes designed by good friend Hemant Trivedi and Bachchan favourite Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Now here’s some update on the guest list – 200 people have been invited and among those who are confirmed are Sunjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Kajol, Suniel Shetty, Danny Denzongpa, Romesh Sharma, director of original Don Chandra Barot, Yash Chopra, Anil Ambani, Sachin Tendulkar and Prahlad Kakkar. And the list of those who have been left out includes the three Khans, Preity Zinta, surprisingly Rani Mukherji, the Gandhi family and the Godrej family. We also hear that the baratis will not be on foot but will travel by Volvo buses from one house to the other which is a distance of just about one kilometer.
